<dc:content>
The relationship between Kanye West and Bianca Censori has been marked by a number of interesting and unexpected developments. Since West legally married Censori in 2023, they’ve made headlines due to fashion choices, legal issues and more. More recently though, sources have alleged that the two are getting serious about their joint professional endeavors. All signs point to the two gradually becoming not only partners in marriage but business associates as well. As this plays out, an expert on relationships is weighing in on how these recent happenings might impact the personal dynamic between the couple.

How Could The Couple’s Business Dealings Impact Their Relationship?

Like a portion of the public, relationship expert Louella Alderson has been keeping tabs on the Wests since their romance became public knowledge. She noted that their marriage can come off as “transactional and business-orientated” at times as evidenced by “limited public displays of affection.” (That lewd taxi incident would probably fit into that category, though.) While discussing a supposed “power imbalance” in the marriage, Alderson also noted that the two were initially colleagues at Yeezy brand before getting involved. But, with the pair now seemingly working together while married, the expert believes that two major changes might result from that:

Now that they are a couple, Bianca may be taking on a 'business partner' role and contributing to Kanye's company designs in a bigger way rather than being an employee. This could be an opportunity for her to use her skills and expertise in a different way while also supporting Kanye's creative endeavours. … On one hand, it allows for shared interests and goals, which can strengthen the bond between two people. However, working closely together can also lead to an imbalance of power and possible conflicts if there are differences in opinions or decision-making styles.

So, based on the expert’s sentiments, Ye and Bianca Censori – who was an architectural designer for Yeezy before getting involved with the rapper – could be in for “conflict.” Louella Alderson seems to be of the thinking that these new dynamics will shift the balance of power in their marriage. She also asserts that any disagreements on how to approach certain projects could cause strife. While speaking with The Daily Mirror, Alderson also said the following:

Given Kanye's strong personality, this is likely a dynamic that Bianca has to navigate in their working relationship. Due to the unequal power dynamic that appears to be present, Bianca may feel like she has less control and influence in their relationship. In terms of their personal relationship, working together can also blur the boundaries between work and personal life, potentially causing strain on the couple's dynamic and leading to burnout or resentment if they are constantly discussing work-related matters.

It was reported back in 2023 that Bianca Censori was inspiring Ye’s work, and she’d also appeared in some fashion pieces. (One such project saw her sport nothing but body tape.) We, of course, don’t know for sure whether their relationship will actually be affected by their professional work in the ways suggested above. However, it is fair to say right now that this will indeed mark a new chapter in their lives.

What Are Kanye West And Bianca Censori Working On?

The full scope of the couple’s reported plans remains unclear, but it seems that they are making moves for Yeezy. This comes over a year after Kanye West was “beat to a pulp” when losing business opportunities due to controversial statements he’d made. Earlier this year, TMZ reported on the couple taking business meetings in Beverly Hills. Apparently, said meet-up included more than a few noted bigwigs.

Surprisingly, this past April, it was reported that Ye wants to enter the porn industry by creating an adult entertainment banner under his corporation. He’s apparently even enlisted Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband, Mike Moz, to help him get started. The reported business move has apparently caused internal conflict at his company, as Milo Yiannopoulos, Yeezy’s former chief of staff exited the company due to personal concerns over the plan. Sources also alleged that Bianca Censori is “freaking out” over the move to porn, because she purportedly thinks she may be called upon to star in some productions.

All of that should be taken with a grain of salt at this time, and the same is true of the assertions that Louella Alderson made about Kanye West and Bianca Censori's relationship. Considering how private the two are, it’s likely that we may never truly know how these recent developments affect their home life. As for their business ventures themselves, it’s possible that those could be announced whenever the two spouses see fit.

The actress is not only working on a new film at Netflix, but she is continuing her Hallmark takeover. Last year, she had a doubleheader for the network's Christmas lineup, which even included some Hallmark reunions. Now, the Mean Girls alum has yet another reunion coming up, and fans are sure to be excited about this one!

Who Is The Hallmark Actress Reuniting With, And What's Their New Project?

Hallmark has announced that Lacey Chabert will be reuniting with her All of My Heart and Crossword Mysteries co-star Brennan Elliot for the upcoming film His & Hers (which is the working title). The feature will mark the duo’s tenth project together across both Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. After starring in the AOMH trilogy between 2015 to 2018, they worked together again for five Crossword flicks from 2019 to 2021.

In the fan-favorite pair’s new flick, they will play married couple Dana and Mark, who are high-powered lawyers at two separate New York City law firms. Their lives are shaken up a bit after they find themselves on opposing sides of a messy divorce between two reality stars, who are unable to compromise. This puts the spouses in a “courtroom showdown that results in tensions infiltrating their otherwise happy household.” Both of the actors in the lead roles have proven they have great chemistry, so this latest outing for them should be a real treat for fans.

The new film is set to premiere as part of Hallmark’s annual Fall Into Love programming event later this year. An official premiere date has yet to be announced but, given the timing of the release, one would think that those details should arrive in the coming months. At this point, there are plenty of other upcoming Hallmark films to look forward to, including another one that Lacey Chabert will be starring in.

What Else Does Lacey Chabert Have Planned With Hallmark In 2024?

While some Hallmark stars have left the network for rival GAF, the Party of Five veteran doesn’t have plans to leave anytime soon. That is evident with her busy schedule. Along with His & Hers, she's working on her new unscripted series, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert. Also on the docket is her milestone 15th Hallmark holiday film, The Christmas Quest. I'm not sure how the veteran actress manages so many gigs, but I'm glad to see her staying booked and busy.

The Wild Thornberrys alum has starred in over 30 Hallmark movies, and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Whether she’s paired with someone new or a former co-star, it’s always exciting to see what’s next for her. Since she and Brennan Elliot are definitely a fan-favorite pair, I already imagine the two teaming up for something else after this latest flick. Plus, if His & Hers does well enough, perhaps a sequel could happen. It's something to think about, but it's probably best not to get too ahead of ourselves and just appreciate this newly announced collaboration.

Make sure that you keep your eyes peeled for updates on Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliot's latest Hallmark movie. It should be the perfect way for viewers to kick off the autumn season later this year. In the meantime, check out the 2024 TV schedule for information on shows that are airing or will premiere soon.

However, that wasn’t the first location-based roadblock Gerry hit on the show. Faith Martin was eliminated after Hometown dates, when she told the Golden lead that she had no intention of leaving her Washington community (or her dead horse). Looking back she can now see that it all worked out for the best and why she wouldn’t get back together with the single-again Indiana retiree.

Faith Martin was the third-place finisher on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor, and she’s made no secret of the fact that she fell in love with Gerry Turner during her time on the show. While she’s still in touch with Gerry and can envision the life they could have had together, Faith said on the Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour podcast that his decision to send her home revealed some differences in their personalities that would keep her from dipping her toes back into that pool. She told the hosts:

I probably could have married Gerry and we’d probably be pretty darn happy. I guess knowing what I know now, I think he really comes from an analytical side instead of leading his life with his heart, and that just doesn’t work for me. I feel like he made a decision out of the logical choice and not his heart. And I lead my whole life with my heart. My heart is what gets me through everything.

Gerry Turner chose to end Faith Martin’s journey after learning that she didn’t plan to leave Washington, and while common sense does seem like it should play a role in choosing a spouse, I understand where Faith’s coming from in wishing his heart would have put up more of a fight.

Her own insistence that she couldn’t leave her home could also be seen as making a logical choice, but Faith Martin said if they’d have been right for each other, there’s nothing that could have kept them apart. Regarding her Hometown date honesty, she said:

I kind of knew that I sealed my fate in that way, but I felt like my intuition was leading me, as much as I was in love with Gerry, I don’t know that I could have said no, and yet, I wasn’t absolutely sure it was right, you know? Because I was all in, and then when I thought about leaving, on my Hometown I said, ‘You need to know how important it is for me to be near my community, my family, my kids, my grandkids. But I needed to have him know that I’m not a person that can see their kids, like, twice a year. But what’s weird is that I think if I was truly in love with someone, there is no amount of distance that would keep me away, right? So it was an intuitive sense that maybe it’s not all what I think.

Faith Martin maintained that she would have kept her home, continued riding her horse and singing in her band, but she also would have been open to splitting time with Gerry Turner between Washington and Indiana.

That also seems to be the strategy of Joan Vassos, the incoming lead of The Golden Bachelorette, as she told Gerry Turner that she thought you almost had to live a dual life in order to make such a relationship work at this age, with the golden-aged contestants having established homes and families, and therefore being less open to moving across the country. We will see how it works out when her journey premieres on the 2024 TV schedule this fall. Apparently, a formerly popular style of sweatpants that look exactly like jeans are making a comeback, and they are clever enough that some celebs swear by them. That includes Sports Illustrated cover model and occasional character actress Paulina Porizkova.

In fact, the Bull guest star wore the Rag and Bone jeans the first time they were released about a decade ago, but they tragically went out of style, forcing her to look to secondhand markets for new pairs. Then, just a couple of years back Rag and Bone brought the Miramar Line back, enabling her to snap them up.

Why am I so happy? Because Rag and Bone has finally, finally come back with the ‘jeans’ which are in fact sweatpants. I bought a pair seven years ago, and they are the single most used and precious thing in my closet. I never get on a plane NOT wearing them. I even bought another pair on eBay once, but they were too small. So imagine my delight that they are back!
In a couple of different styles and washes.

Porizkova was writing about her beloved pants on Instagram, but it wasn’t even an ad. She just really, really swears by the look. Others do too. In fact, in 2024 they’ve been really catching on, to the point the WSJ recently did a profile on the look, which one fan told the outlet has become “a conversation starter” at parties. As influencer Samantha Zhang noted to the outlet:

They’re such a great conversation starter. Everyone is legit shocked they’re actually sweatpants.

I know you’re probably skeptical that sweatpants printed to look like denim could remotely resemble the real thing; I was too. Yet, this isn’t really hype. They look good while maintaining comfort, and you can see Paulina Porizkova’s full styling in her post below.

A post shared by Paulina Porizkova (@paulinaporizkov)

A photo posted by on

Celebrities trends have really run the gamut from “no pants” on the red carpet to wild pants with built-in shoes at events. So really, pretending sweatpants are jeans is not the craziest thing we’ve spotted in celebrity fashion. It’s not the most expensive either. Those aforementioned pantashoes from Balenciaga cost thousands and thousands of dollars. The Miramar pants will only set you back a couple hundred, if that.

Miramar Trompe L'Oeil Low Rise Wide Leg Pants, $175View Deal

Sure, that still is a little steep for all budgets, but if I’ve learned one thing, it’s that when celebrity trends catch on like wildfire, they generally catch on at all price points. So if you’re looking for a comfy alternative to your usual denim styles, keep your eyes peeled. There may just be the perfect pair of sweatpants out there for you. In fact, I know of a pair of Rihanna's Savage X Fenty sweatpants that may be the perfect fit.

While not everyone was impressed, the reality star garnered enough positive feedback for her portrayal of witchy publicist Siobhan Corbyn that she’s now got several coals in the Hollywood fire. The role seemed tailor-made for Kardashian, too, as Siobhan was dripping with momager Kris Jenner vibes. However, it turns out Kim had drawn her inspiration from a different member of the Kardashian-Jenner dynasty — her older sister Kourtney.

Kim Kardashian talked all things Ryan Murphy when she sat down with Chloë Sevigny for Variety’s Actors on Actors series, even giving her opinion on David Schwimmer’s portrayal of her dad Robert Kardashian Sr. on The People v. O.J. Simpson. When it came to her own performance on AHS’ 12th season, it wasn’t her mother who informed Kim’s acting choices, but rather, Kourtney Kardashian. Kim said:

It’s funny, I was really channeling my sister Kourtney and someone that I work with. And everyone, when it came out, they were like, ‘That is Kris Jenner all the way.’ And I was like, ‘I guess I had that preparation already, but it’s not what I was thinking.’ But I so see it now.

It seemed like a no-brainer. Kim Kardashian played Siobhan Corbyn as a P.R. machine, unwilling to take no for an answer, ready to go to any lengths to let Emma Roberts’ Anna Victoria Alcott know that she was “doing amazing, sweetie!” Siobhan was also harboring a few secrets of her own, so it’s no surprise that reviews of the American Horror Story: Delicate premiere said Kim was the perfect choice for the Kris Jenner homage.

Kim Kardashian said in hindsight she understands why everyone saw her mom in that performance, but looking back even at her very first scene, it’s not that hard to see shades of Kourtney Kardashian there too. The delivery of her vulgar first line, followed by the exasperated realization that, “It’s exhausting being better than everyone,” could definitely be an attitude that Kim’s seen in her older sister, particularly during the fiery fight we saw play out on The Kardashians (available to stream with a Hulu subscription).

American Horror Story was Kim Kardashian’s first time working with Ryan Murphy, but it won’t be her last. In December, Murphy received a series commitment from Hulu for an as-yet-untitled legal drama starring Kim Kardashian as a powerful divorce attorney. This time around she’ll be looking outside her family for inspiration, though her muse is someone she’s still pretty close to. She told Chloë Sevigny:

I’m going to be playing a lawyer, a high-powered divorce attorney. I will be channeling Laura Wasser, if that resonates with anybody.

Divorce attorney to the stars Laura Wasser has worked with Kim Kardashian to end two of her three marriages, so it will be interesting to see how the reality TV queen pulls from those experiences in that role. In the meantime, you can stream American Horror Story and The Kardashians on Hulu, and be sure to see what else is new and coming soon to Hulu.

Despite some early struggles finding his late night footing, the Daily Show vet is now as much a traditional late night staple as anyone, though he was initially dead set against utilizing one of the format’s most time-honored elements: the opening monologue.

Having come into The Late Show directly from Comedy Central’s Colbert Report, the host was obviously skilled in such familiar late night go-tos as celebrity interviews and topic-specific rants with pre-packaged graphics. (Check out where he ranks among our favorite late night hosts.) But he was also used to 30-minute runtimes, as opposed to hour-long episodes, and apparently wasn’t all that interested in leaning on monologues to fill the airtime. Speaking with EW, he revealed:

I was determined to not do a monologue. I thought, ‘I’m not a stand-up. I’m an actor.’ And then I fell in love with the monologue. You just need to relax, have a good time, and follow your instincts in terms of the stories you’re interested in.

Colbert’s justification there is interesting, in that monologues are traditionally more of a dramatic acting exercise, going back to the days of Shakespeare and beyond. Not that they aren’t also tethered to stage comedies as well, but it’s in late night talk shows where monologues truly became forever tethered to modern comedy. Regardless, it’s a skill that does often work best with performers who are accustomed to taking the stage in such a way, such as stand-up vets like Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Bill Maher, Jon Stewart and more.

In contrast, somewhat, Colbert focused his education more on dramatic acting and long-form improvisation, though he flipped genres upon landing his first post-college TV gigs with the sketch series Exit 57 and The Dana Carvey Show. And it was a comedic correspondent package he put together while at Good Morning America that led him to his Daily Show gig.

Even if it wasn’t necessarily something he was raring to embrace right out of the gate, the Late Show host has long since come into his own with his nightly monologues, which are often highly satirical political jaunts, but definitely aren’t limited to that subject matter. At this point, I can’t even imagine what else he'd would be doing during that time, except for maybe taking viewers on a tour of the hidden room beneath his desk where Jon Stewart sleeps. (Not really.)

Colbert’s Late Show has gone through somewhat unique situations in recent years, from filming in an empty theater during COVID to taking a months-long hiatus during the Hollywood strikes to Christopher Nolan schooling everyone in Fast and Furious movies. But even though he might not have the stand-up chops that many of his late night counterparts have had, he was still able to survive and thrive through all the turmoil without missing a beat.

Would Stephen Colbert Ever Return To Acting?

Obviously filming a bazillion episodes of a late night talk show can make it slightly more difficult to put any effort into any other gigs, but fans have long wanted to see Stephen Colbert return to a project like Strangers with Candy, or even voice-acting work like his excellence in Harvey Birdman. The host is quick to say he won't be sabotaging his Late Show career to take on any other projects of that variety, but that he does genuinely miss that side of his career. As he put it:

It’s not like I want to drop the hammer on this woodshed that we work in here and go run off back to the footlights. But if there’s something that I used to do that I don’t do anymore, it’s acting. I miss that.

I doubt CBS is going to make any announcements in the near future that say The Late Show will only produce half the number of episodes that audiences are used to, so we may be waiting quite a while to see Colbert taking on anything other than a cameo elsewhere on the 2024 TV schedule. But if anything ever did happen that would bring his late night reign to a halt, it's good to know he'd be down to return to scripted comedy again.

Catch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert nightly on CBS at 11:35 p.m. ET, or with a Paramount+ subscription.

But she obviously still knows a thing or two about the world of comedy, and was recently asked about her take on “politically correct” humor, and her answers stood somewhat in contrast to the viral comments made by her former co-star Jerry Seinfeld.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Take On Political Correctness

Speaking with The New York Times about her career, her candid and enlightening podcast, and more, Louis-Dreyfus discussed her desire (or at least willingness) to potentially return to a straightforward TV comedy one day, assuming it’s of a more limited fashion than anything open-ended. That led to her speaking about how dissimilar she is from Veep’s ego maniac Selina Meyer — which is why that role was a joy to play — with the topic then turning to political comedy, correct or otherwise.

Jerry Seinfeld’s recent comments were addressed, and the Emmy-winning star was asked what she thought about where things are now, to which she replied:

If you look back on comedy and drama both, let’s say 30 years ago, through the lens of today, you might find bits and pieces that don’t age well. And I think to have an antenna about sensitivities is not a bad thing. It doesn’t mean that all comedy goes out the window as a result.

That's a sentiment that anyone who frequently rewatches older movies and TV shows can attest to, particularly when it comes to the 1990s, where some of the best movies of the decade are rife with slurs and derogatory terminology regarding race, nationality, mental state, etc. But to her point, any movie can feature moments of questionable taste and humor without the entire project falling short.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus continued, saying:

When I hear people starting to complain about political correctness — and I understand why people might push back on it — but to me that’s a red flag, because it sometimes means something else. I believe being aware of certain sensitivities is not a bad thing. I don’t know how else to say it.

The New Adventures of Old Christine vet is taking a centrist approach to the topic in saying that there's nothing wrong with believing some topics and ideas are possibly not ideal for comedy, while also positing that there is potentially something wrong with someone having a completely one-sided opinion about politically correct humor. Particularly if that opinion is complaintive.

And she actually shared a revised take on the matter, having been re-contacted a little over a week after the first interview took place, and she had this to say:

My feeling about all of it is that political correctness, insofar as it equates to tolerance, is obviously fantastic. And of course I reserve the right to boo anyone who says anything that offends me, while also respecting their right to free speech, right? But the bigger problem — and I think the true threat to art and the creation of art — is the consolidation of money and power. All this siloing of studios and outlets and streamers and distributors — I don’t think it’s good for the creative voice. So that’s what I want to say in terms of the threat to art.

To be sure, Louis-Dreyfus wasn't specifically calling out or commenting on her former co-star Jerry Seinfeld with any of her comments, since she wasn't directly asked to comment about him. But one could imagine they would have quite the interesting conversation about it if that opportunity ever presented itself. (Possibly on her podcast?)

Jerry Seinfeld’s Viral Comments About Correctness

Jerry Seinfeld, who returned for Curb Your Enthusiasm’s series finale that poked fun at Seinfeld’s polarizing swan song, made headlines for sharing his opinions about modern comedy earlier in 2024 ahead of the release of his Netflix comedy Unfrosted. His comments at the time, which touched on cancel culture, were widely criticized, to the point where he showed up on SNL and spoofed himself.

But then in April, Seinfeld talked to the New Yorker and doubled down on his opinions, calling out the “extreme left” and “PC crap” as the reasons why comedy is so hard to find on television now compared to the days when sitcoms ruled the small screen. In his words:

Nothing really affects comedy. People always need it. They need it so badly, and they don't get it. It used to be you would go home at the end of the day, most people would go, ‘Oh, Cheers is on. ‘Oh, M.A.S.H. is on. Mary Tyler Moore is on. All in the Family is on.' You just expected, there’ll be some funny stuff we can watch on TV tonight. Well, guess what? Where is it? This is the result of the extreme left and PC crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people.

His comments went viral after the interview went live, with commentators from all sides of the aisle either lauding him or decrying his words. Seinfeld described the process he believes is responsible for diluting modern comedy, saying:

When you write a script, and it goes into four or five different hands, committees, groups — 'Here’s our thought about this joke.' — well, that’s the end of your comedy.

Unfrosted, like the comedian's past work, was largely free from anything super-topical or politically motivated, at least until all the moments satirizing January 6 later on. And it can be streamed with a Netflix subscription by anyone who hadn't gotten around to watching the Pop Tarts origin story just yet.

Meanwhile, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Tuesday hit the 2024 movie release schedule on June 7, and can be watched in theaters now.

After eight years on the air Home Improvement ended. It was sudden, and while not at the height of its popularity, tens of millions of viewers were still tuning in each week. If things had gone just a bit differently, the ABC sitcom could have been renewed for a ninth season. It all boiled down to behind-the-scenes power and egos on set, as well as a cool $2 million per episode. Here’s the real reason Home Improvement ended.

Patricia Richardson is probably most known for her work as the longtime matriarch on Home Improvement and Tim ‘The Tool Man’ Taylor’s wife Jill. During Home Improvement’s run, Jill was unlike a lot of other sitcom wives at the time. She had a serious voice on the show and was a fully fleshed out character, capable of both making wise choices for the Taylor family and mistakes in those dynamics, as well --one reason the actress feels Home Improvement doesn't get enough credit years later.

Per Richardson, her character was a “big reason why women were watching” the comedy throughout its run, but she was paid far less than her TV husband on the series. This didn't really sit well with her, and by the time the show was ready to wrap, she was ready to say goodbye.

$2 Million Dollars, Or How Patricia Richardson Tried To Renegotiate Her Contract To Make A Point

By Season 8 of Home Improvement, teen heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas had left Hollywood and the series, and it seemed as if the show would be ending. Then, the network had a change of heart just a few months before the finale that year. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times Richardson recalled head honchos at ABC offering her $1 million per episode, while Allen was offered a cool $2 million.

This was a lot of money, and previously, she said she’d only been paid ⅓ of what Tim Allen made during their run on the show. $1 million per episode would put her at ½ of Allen’s pay – but it was still quite a large discrepancy. Yet, if she’d taken it, there would have been a 25-episode Season 9 of the hit series and she would have been among the highest paid actresses on TV ever.

Now, you could argue Home Improvement was largely Allen’s show. You could argue that Richard Karn’s Al was the second or third lead on that show as well, and that the kids in the Taylor family got a chunk of screen time, too. However, for Richardson, the discrepancy with what she felt was her co-lead was too much. She was ready to leave the show after working her “ass off,” and she told the outlet the only way she wanted to stay was if the network threw her equal pay. She said she knew they wouldn't go for it.

I knew that Disney would in no way pay me that much. That was my way to say ‘no’ and was a little bit of a flip-off to Disney. I’d been there all this time, and they never even paid me a third of what Tim was making, and I was working my ass off. I was a big reason why women were watching.

She was right the network didn't want to pay her that much, and she was OK with the show ending. But she also said it made her the "bad guy."

Why Tim Allen Was Allegedly Upset

On paper, $2 million dollars per episode for 25 episodes is a huge deal. In fact that's more than the behemoth $1 million per episode salaries the cast of Friends and, later, The Big Bang Theory garnered headlines over. Before taxes, the deal would have netted Allen $50 million dollars, while Richardson got $25 million for less than a year's work. Because of that, the later Last Man Standing actor was reportedly down to continue with the show into Season 9. Richardson disagreed, and It led to problems between the comedian and his TV wife. The actress was candid about what happened next, noting:

I was mad at Tim because he was leaving me alone being the only person saying no, which made me feel terrible and like the bad guy. And he was upset with me for leaving.

So, the show was officially ending. Could it have gone on without Patricia Richardson? Of course. Two and a Half Men famously went on after Charlie Sheen exited for a while, killing off his character and signing on Ashton Kutcher in his stead. But it’s not something the producers really considered, per Carmen Finestra, who felt like the relationship dynamics were key to making the comedy work.

Some shows would have had the mom die. I don’t remember one discussion where we said, ‘How can we keep this going without Pat?’ It just couldn’t have worked.

The sitcom wrapped just a couple of months later, and Allen and Richardson left the money on the table. Years later, there was a bit of public discord again when the former TV mom spoke about how Allen had posited there could be a Home Improvement spinoff when she felt that absolutely couldn't be the case. She has said it's "weird" the actor has been open to talking about a reunion, when he's never, ever said anything to her about it. For his part, Allen has spoken about doing a show featuring the kids' kids called Home Re-improvement, so there is a fully fleshed out idea.

Allen has not commented publicly on this reported brouhaha or his lack of harmony with Richardson over a maybe, one-day possible spinoff. In fact, most of his comments about his time on Home Improvement have been positive. Without his perspective, it may all go down as a bit of a mystery, like why Wilson always hid his face behind the fence on the series. But it absolutely sounds like a case of could have, would have.

"This Is How You Answer A Door In My Neighborhood. WHO IS IT?"

It is hard to choose just one recurring SNL sketch as Eddie Murphy’s best, but “Mister Robinson’s Neighborhood” — which imagines what Mister Rogers might be like as a morally bankrupt inner city resident — might have had the funniest dialogue. Many of the character’s best moments saw him drop the children’s TV host schtick and intimidate his visitors with a more rigid persona.

"Wookin' Pa Nub In Aw Da Wong Places..."

An all-time SNL highlight is Murphy's grown-up portrayal of The Little Rascals character, Buckwheat, who, in one sketch, tries to promote his album of cover songs, Buh-Weet Sings. One such song is "Wookin' Pa Nub," which would have been written as "Looking for Love" if not for his signature speech impediment.

"I Studied For My Role Very Carefully. I Watched Lots Of Dynasty"

In the classic pre-taped segment, "White Like Me " — arguably the SNL star’s all-time best sketch — Murphy is seen preparing to masquerade as a caucasian man by watching one of the top-rated TV shows of its time, Dynasty. He takes note of how the primetime soap opera’s characters tend to walk with very tight rear ends and says that he should remember to do the same while under his extensive makeup.

"It Still Sucks, Man"

One of the best SNL sketches featuring a musician sees Murphy playing a professional impressionist enlisted to help an aspiring Stevie Wonder impersonator, played by the Grammy winner himself. After Wonder's character seems to finally get a handle on the portrayal with a fantastic rendition of "My Cherie Amour," Murphy's character immediately condemns him with one more blatant criticism.

In a pre-taped, mockumentary-style bit called “Prose and Cons” — about incarcerated individuals who take up poetry — Murphy plays his prison's poetry festival champion, Tyrone Green, who recites his winning piece. The poem's violent content is not much to laugh at initially, but the capper, when Tyrone incorrectly spells out the word "kill," is a gut-buster

There are some instances when an SNL sketch that does not go as planned ends up being more iconic as a result and a prime example is Season 10's "Black History Moment." Murphy masterfully remains in character both times he flubs his speech about George Washington Carver, going so far as to scold the audience in jest for laughing at his mistakes.

A post-game report by John Madden (as himself) from a losing football team's locker room is interrupted by a player (Murphy) who claims their defeat was orchestrated by the opposing team's true owners: the mafia. The rant is suddenly interrupted, however, when he is shot and killed.

It would be impossible to choose which of Murphy’s spot-on celebrity impersonations is his best, but we would not argue against anyone who ranks the Godfather of Soul at the top. Perhaps the funniest moment from “James Brown’s Celebrity Hot Tub Party” is when Murphy, as the legendary artist, finally dips his foot in the tub, only to proclaim in the song that he needs to let it cool down a bit first.

Gumby (Murphy) has something of a bitter reunion with his old buddy, Pokey (Joe Piscopo), who cannot seem to keep up with the pace of the green piece of clay's performance. The horse insists that he has his "own sense of timing," which prompts this comically cruel comeback.

In one of Murphy’s most underrated SNL sketches, he plays a man named Clarence who goes on a rock ’n roll talk show claiming that not only was he an original member of The Beatles, but that he wrote most of their catalog.
Murphy appears as the Tooth Fairy on a talk show called Career Corner to explain why he has decided to give up his job. For instance, sometimes the teeth he retrieves do not turn out to be teeth at all, but mints that looked convincing enough in the dark.

When Murphy returned to host SNL’s 1984 Christmas episode, he showed up on “Weekend Update” to comment on the state of children’s toys. This quote comes from his clever analysis of the drastic change in the size of G.I. Joe dolls at the time.

In a holiday edition of “Mister Robinson's Neighborhood,” Murphy's ill-behaved children's program host compares himself to Old St. Nick.
Murphy is famous for his many spot-on impersonations, especially that of Stevie Wonder, whom he once performed alongside in a hilarious sketch. We suppose their professional relationship gave the comedian the confidence to use this joke in his monologue for the first time he hosted SNL, while he was still part of the cast.

One of Murphy and Joe Piscopo's most charming recurring character duos is bar patron Solomon and piano player Pudge, whom Solomon introduces to his nephew, Jason (Robert Guillaume) in one sketch. While Solomon cannot properly pronounce his nephew's profession, at least he knows enough about it to point out why he should easily be able to tell him and his sister apart despite their apparent common personalities.

As a commentary on recurring characters overstaying their welcome, Velvet Jones made his umpteenth appearance on SNL to announce it would also be his last. However, that was not the case after all as Murphy would reprise the author and entrepreneur on a “Black Jeopardy!” segment when he hosted in 2019.

In a Season 9 Edition of “Mister Robinson's Neighborhood,” the iconic Mister Rogers' parody addressed something audiences probably already knew about the character. Some sketches have dropped hits as to how Robinson has managed to fall into cash, such as selling his illegitimate child on the black market, but he still fails to pay his rent month after month.

In one bit from Season 7, Murphy addresses the "young white viewers" about how he, a high school graduate, dropped out of college, received no formal theater training, and still manages to make more in a week than most white people do in a year as one of SNL's biggest stars. Therefore, he believes that getting an education is meaningless, that life is luck, and that children should quit school and just have fun.

Murphy would sometimes appear on "Weekend Update" (at a time when it was called "SNL Newsbreak") as Raheem Abdul Muhammed to comment on the state of the media. At one point, he voiced his opinion against the moral majority, believing that it made television too light and, ultimately boring.

When Eddie Murphy hosted SNL in 2019, he brought Mister Robinson into modern times. One way the new era had an effect on the character is how an online genetic testing center led his own long-lost son to his doorstep.

He replies that he always desired to live near Fire Island — a real-life island in New York State that is rich in LGBTQ+ history and served as the basis of one of the best movies on Hulu, Fire Island.

As Gumby (Murphy) is directing a movie about his life, he is shocked to learn that his wife, Delores, was able to walk on the set without being stopped. When a security guard shows up to apologize for letting her get past him, the clay humanoid instructs him to not be afraid to get rough next time.

Murphy plays one of three Oscar statuettes waiting to be given to one of the night's Academy Award recipients. He is initially made fun of for being the "Best Actress" award until he reminds the others that he is guaranteed a physical encounter with one of Hollywood's most esteemed and talented beauties.

Eddie Murphy’s storied career has seen its ups and downs, but his time at Studio 8H was gold from beginning to end, as these hilarious quotes will show.

                                                                                                                <dc:content>
When NCIS began in September 2003, four of the five series regulars had already been introduced earlier in the year in the JAG episodes “Ice Queen” and “Meltdown.” The sole exception was Sasha Alexander’s Caitlin “Kate” Todd, who debuted in the pilot “Yankee White” (which was recently called back to in the NCIS franchise’s 1,000th episode) as a Secret Service agent who resigned from her position by the end of the story and was quickly recruited onto Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ team. Sadly, Kate was murdered by terrorist Ari Haswari in the Season 2 finale, and while this ranks as one of NCIS’ saddest moments, Michael Weatherly, who plays Anthony DiNozzo, admitted an accidental goof of his that made it into the death scene.

Weatherly and Ziva David actress Cote de Pablo recently launched the podcast Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch ahead of the duo reuniting for NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the spinoff series that will stream exclusive to people with a Paramount+ subscription. The first podcast episode primarily revolved around the actors discussing their origins tied to the show, including de Pablo explaining why she initially thought Weatherly was trying to “sabotage” her audition. In the second episode, they were joined by Sasha Alexander, and during the conversation, Weatherly recounted the following about when they were filming when Kate was sniped by Ari:

When you got that shot to the head, I was standing behind you. And if you watch the scene in slow motion, this is a little Easter egg for the people at home, if you watch, just before the dot appears that they digitally put there, but there's a blood pack on the back of your head that [special effects coordinator] Larry Fuentes or whoever exploded, and blood goes all over my face. Larry was in front of me, so I flinch right before the blood comes, right before the dot. So I'm flinching before you get killed.

Naturally a film/TV actor’s job is to stay in character while the camera’s rolling on them, and if they end up messing up a take, the director can just call “Cut!” and they’ll start the scene over. In this case though, Michael Weatherly instinctively flinched in preparation of the blood bag being exploded, but it was a small enough reaction that it made it into the final version of the scene rather than reshot. See that goof for yourself:

It’s not something you can unsee once you’re aware of it, but I doubt many people notice Tony DiNozzo bracing for blood spatter that hasn’t come yet when they’re watching “Twilight” for the first time or even during several rewatches. In any case, it doesn’t detract from the shock of seeing Caitlin Todd killed just moments after she took a bullet to her bulletproof vest that was meant for Gibbs. Sasha Alexander guest starred for the two-part Season 3 premiere, “Kill Ari,” to play both Kate’s corpse and the character in ghost form that her team members talked to as they were struggling with her death. Alexander later vocally reprised Kate, albeit uncredited, in the Season 8 episode “A Man Walks Into a Bar.”

“Kill Ari” also introduced Ziva David as Ari’s half-brother, and after killing him in Gibbs’ basement before he could shoot Mark Harmon’s character, she took Kate’s place on the team. Cote de Pablo stayed on NCIS’ main cast through to Season 11’s second episode, and then she returned as a special guest star in the Season 16 finale and recurred in Season 17. Michael Weatherly played Tony DiNozzo as a series regular until the end of Season 13, then cameoed in Season 21’s tribute episode to David McCallum’s Ducky Mallard.

Now Weatherly and de Pablo’s characters will finally be seen onscreen together for the first time in over a decade thanks to NCIS: Tony & Ziva, which will follow the title protagonists going on the run across Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked. It hasn’t been announced yet when the spinoff will premiere, but filming begins later this summer. Meanwhile, NCIS returns for Season 22 this fall, and the 2024 TV schedule will also bring NCIS: Origins, the prequel following Leroy Jethro Gibbs in 1991.
